LiElla Kelly is an End-of-Life Doula based in Helena, Montana. She has worked in the Helena community for 22 years as a Massage Therapist. She also volunteers with a local hospice organization and the St. Peter's NODA (No One Dies Alone) program. LiElla visited her first cemetery at a young age with her great-grandfather. She's been fascinated by death customs ever since. After attending deaths and funerals of loved ones, it seemed that at times, there was something missing, especially during the moments when you're overwhelmed and unsure of what comes next. The dying and their families need support, both practically and emotionally to navigate the work that death entails. Eventually, LiElla's desire to fill that gap, led her to her work as an End-of-Life Doula. LiElla is nationally recognized as a NEDA Proficient End-of-Life Doula and After-Death Care Educator.
Leaving Well promotes death education, End-of-Life Planning, and autonomy in deathcare choices while empowering individuals to make end of life decisions that align with their own personal values.
Perhaps you realize that death is coming, maybe sooner, maybe later. Either way, you want to address it and face it head-on. You want to die well. You want to care for your family, leave a meaningful legacy, and have your final wishes, or those of your loved one, fulfilled in an honorable way. Maybe you want all these things, but don’t know how to accomplish them. There are people trained to help. We are called End-of-Life Doula or Death Doulas.
